Former bandmates of Joseph Andrew Stack, the man who allegedly crashed a plane into an office complex in Austin, Texas, released these pictures on Thursday night and said this was not the Joe Stack their band knew.
“Clearly there was crazy in him but it must have been way in the back of his head," said Pam Parker, manager of Billyeli a rock and country music band where Stack used to play the bass. "It wasn’t who Joe was."
Mr. Stack presumably flew a one-engine plane into the offices of the IRS in Austin on Thursday afternoon. In a web message posted online, he said was doing so because he was angry at the government’s tax agency for unfairly giving tax loopholes to big corporations like General Motors and the Catholic Church, whom he called “thugs” that “committed unthinkable atrocities.”
Mr. Stack is presumed to be dead.
