A senior Pakistani government official said on Sunday that a Taliban leader who goes by the name of Abu Yahya has been arrested in Pakistan – and that person is not Adam Gadahn, the American born Al Qaida spokesman who the Associated Press said early on Sunday was caught by Pakistani security.

The official says the man who was arrested was, “possibly,” Abu Yahya Mujahdeen al-Adam who is said to be another American member of al Qaeda.

The Pakistani officials said they still have to make this identification positive before informing Americans.

One of Pakistan’s English-language newspapers, "Dawn," reported on Sunday that Abu Yahya Mujahdeen al-Adam is from Pennsylvania and helps command foreign militants fighting in Afghanistan.
