HAVANA --  Fidel Castro, first Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, takes a picture of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva.

Brazil's president visited Castro during a recent trip to Havana, where he offered the communits government millions of dollars in credit and signed a deal to drill for oil in the Golf of Mexico. 

These pictures were released by the Cuban goverment 24 hours after the meeting took place. It was the first time Cuban authorities have released photos of Castro since October, when he met with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.
